Low Back Pain

Shoulder Surgery PT

Low back pain is the most common reason why people miss work, stop exercising, and stop being able to perform hobbies.  Although pain can be intense, research suggests low back pain is best addressed with physical activity, exercise and activity modifications.

At Back in Action Physical Therapy, our therapists are highly educated and experienced in treatment of low back pain.   We can assist in the acute flare up to the chronic low back pain and post-operative rehabilitation of the low back.

How can Physical Therapy Help with your back pain?

A physical therapist can guide you through the recovery by assisting in the following:

  • Educating you on what is and what is not appropriate activity and exercise to do
  • Find out your causes of low back pain and how to address these with conservative treatment

These treatments may include:

  • Joint mobilizations
  • Dry needling
  • Stability exercises
  • Mobility exercises
  • Activity modifications
  • Education on proper ergonomics, assessing your form with daily routine
  • Assess strength and mobility through a screen to determine the cause of your pain, not just treatment of the symptoms of your back pain.
  • Providing hands on treatment, prescribing exercises, assessing your movement patterns
  • Create a plan to safely and effectively get you back to your prior activities without pain

Our goal at Back in Action Physical Therapy is to alleviate your low back pain by addressing the root causes of the pain, not just treat the symptoms. We want to improve your quality of life and get you back to what you enjoy doing !
