Laura has the sea in her blood. Her bubbly, enthusiastic demeanor is fitting for a UNC Wilmington grad and for Back in Action. She keeps the outdoors close to her, with hiking, playing adult soccer with TASL, and relaxing on the beach as favorite ways to enjoy her downtime. Do not let this sweet demeanor fool you, she is an ultra competitor… you do not want to face her on the soccer field, volleyball court, or anywhere else for that matter. She takes care of business and you will never know what hit you. Just ask her teammates at UNC-W where she played D1 soccer and club basketball.
Her experience in athletics pushed her towards a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon. During high school, she was one of the unfortunate gals in soccer to tear her ACL….twice. She understands the difficulty it takes to return from such an injury and is passionate about ACL tear prevention. She hopes to build the relationships required to implement a prevention program locally. She has a pattern of generosity, while at Elon she was heavily involved in the pro bono H.O.P.E. clinic.
She is an APTA Certified Vestibular Therapist, allowing her to help athletes following concussions or those suffering from balance disorders.
